Going to Harry to train my dog was the best decision I ever made.
I have a whippet. They are the fastest accelerating dogs on the planet and recall is everything. I now have a dog I can stop with one word and it has already saved her life twice.
Harry delivers a serious message and excellent training but also injects fun and has a great sense of humour. He really cares about dogs and I've seen dogs with issues transformed because Harry knows his stuff. This is not a job to Harry, it is a true vocation. My dog loves the classes, especially the agility and she is a happy, secure and obedient dog.
Thank you Harry!

I bought Kruger from Lincolnshire at the age of 10 weeks. He grew VERY fast into a huge, powerful, wilful, puppy. I took him to various training classes and ringcraft classes for show dogs. After trying to grab a dog at ringcraft the lady suggested I should try Harry O’Neill dog training.
The rest is history. Kruger turned into the most obedient, wonderful dog. His training enabled him to enter championship dog shows, of which he was placed over 160 times. He qualified for Cruft for life being placed 3 times; a 2nd, a Reserve, and a Very Highly Commended. We used to walk in Bushy Park and on numerous occasions people commented on his impeccable manners. Often told he was the best trained dog in the park. I could walk him through a herd of deer OFF lead and make him sit as horses cantered past (well done, Harry).
I loved our lessons on a Saturday morning and Kruger loved the agility. He entered many shows at Giggs Hill with the Imber Court dogs. It is with great sadness I have to tell you my beloved Kruger passed away suddenly on Friday 2.2.18, two weeks after his 9th Birthday.
Thank youm Harrym for all our training classes and making my boy the most loving, obedient and fantastic Ridgeback ever.
RIP Kruger 17.1.09. To 2.2.18

We adopted Cassie from Battersea Dog's Home in August 2015 when she was 18 months old. We didn't know much about her background, except that she had been abused and dumped.
At first Cassie seemed like a relatively normal dog; we could walk her around other dogs and she was OK, but she was always very over excited and sometimes anxious.
Then one day she switched, and became impossible to handle. She would lunge at people and dogs and I was afraid that she would hurt someone.
My husband and I took her to a dog trainer who advocated treat training, unfortunately, because of Cassie's behaviour, we got thrown out of the class!
Completely at the end of our tether, we were considering taking Cassie back to Battersea because we could no longer walk her without it turning into a complete nightmare. Then we saw a flyer for Harry's training sessions in Pets At Home. I emailed and was asked to come along with Cassie to a session. I have to be honest, I was not expecting much, but I was willing to try anything at that stage.
At the session Harry's wife, Linda, took Cassie, put a check chain on her and had her under control in about 10 seconds flat! I burst into tears and my husband looked on in amazement.
We immediately booked onto the beginner course, then the intermediate and are now long-term members of the Dog Club. I can honestly say that this training has saved our life with Cassie. We now have a very happy and contented dog. She isn't perfect, but we can have fun together now.
We continue to do the training and I have made commitment to do so as long as the training is on, even though we have now moved to West Sussex.
I cannot thank Harry and Linda enough, and the rest of the dog club. It is such a welcoming, safe and fun environment, I look forward to it every week.

I have been coming to Imber Court Dog Training classes run by Harry O'Neill, on and off for 15 years.
Whatever the ability of your dog Harry treats us all equally. Criticism is always constructive and, if deserved, praise is always forthcoming.
The classes are made up of like-minded individuals, and newcomers are always welcomed and encouraged into the group whatever the standard of their dog.
I can thoroughly recommend that you try the classes for yourself, they are very informative on all dog matters, there are a lot of laughs and above all, we have great fun.

At the age of around 11 months my staffie, 'Blue', developed what seemed like an aggression to some dogs. As a family we discussed the possibility of
having Blue put to sleep. I could not begin to consider keeping a 'dangerous dog', which Blue was sometimes called during our walks in the park. I was
devastated, I didn't know what to do.......and then I met Harry.
Harry listens to you and your concerns and helps you to overcome your fears. He gives you the confidence, as an owner, to continue to use the good advice that's always on offer when classes end. In the agility sessions on
Saturday mornings Blue can be seen jumping over the jumps and running through the tunnels, the energy that he displays shows that he clearly enjoys that activity!
I honestly cannot thank Harry enough and I would highly recommend him. I know Blue would not be here without his continuing help and advice.
Thank you Harry.

I have been going to Harry for just over a year with my 2 year old Portuguese Water Dog, Eddy .
Eddy was 8 months old when we started Harry's basic classes having previously attended another training class which I found of very little help.
I needed help to control my strong and wilful puppy. After several basic classes with Harry, I finally realised that I could have a well behaved, trained dog. The confidence that Harry instills with his training methods, spurred me on to attend both his intermediate and then his advanced classes. With Harry's firm but jovial guidance and continued help to iron out our problems, I now have a dog who's behaviour continues to improve.
Eddy and I thoroughly enjoy our Saturday morning classes. It's so much fun and we have lots of laughs with our friendly like minded owners and their dogs.
With Harry, it's tough love and oh how I love my well trained dog! Thank you Harry from both of us.

Our visions of a country walk and sitting in a beer garden were quickly scuppered when we rescued our dog, just going for a walk to the park filled me with dread and fear. That is until we came to Harry. He was immediately happy to help and one meeting was enough to show that there was potential to improve our dog’s aggression issues. He was able to manage our expectations and invited us to training classes. It turns out that its wasn’t just the dog that needed training, but me as well. Harry explains things well and is relaxed and fun. After 4 years we still enjoy going to classes and learning. We take long walks in the park or countryside and occasionally we go and sit in a pub garden.
Thank You Harry for helping us to help Toshi.

I came to Harry’s class after two failed attempts at another local class where Monty, a 60kg Newfypooh was asked to leave, and we had several one-to-one’s with a dog psychologist (The Newfypooh is a large dog, a cross between the elegant Poodle and the sweet Newfoundland)
By that time Monty was 18 months old, had no reliable recall, and was very wilful. I had always had immaculately behaved big dogs and was at a complete loss as to why I was not able to keep my dog safe. He is incredibly friendly but would run up to children wanting to play, and any child, even if they loved dogs, would be scared as he is just so so big.
We attended Harry O’Neill’s beginners class, then the Intermediate class, and we are now in the advanced class.
Improvements I have seen:
Heel work, he now never pulls on the lead which is amazing!
He is better behaved when we are out and stop to chat or stop for a pint, he no longer demands attention by drowning us out with his barking.
He no longer jumps up to welcome guests in the house, and no-one wants a 60kg dog jumping up!
His agility during lessons and obedience has come on leaps and bounds so I no longer get stressed out, instead I look forward to the improvements that he is making in the class.
‘Recall’ is work in progress, improvements are noticeable but I still would not let him off the lead in busy areas where there are lots of children and other dogs.
Every week I learn something about dogs, consistency being one of the key ingredients. I have never felt judged or criticised by Harry, only encouraged to learn some important skills needed to manage my dog.

I started attending Harry's classes around 5 months ago after Gus Gus started showing signs of behaviour issues. With no dog experience, I panicked and thought the worst for Gus Gus' future. I contacted Harry who came round to do a home visit, meet Gus Gus and offer some advice. From then on I attended Imber Court dog training weekly, working our way through the classes, from beginner, intermediate and now advanced. Throughout this time Gus Gus has shown a lot of improvement both with his behaviour towards humans, other dogs and also with his obedience.
Gus Gus really enjoys Harry's classes, especially the agility where he is starting to jump over the jumps and run through the tunnels without a lead, something I would never have imagined 6 months ago.
Harry's attention to detail, knowledge, time and patience has given me the confidence to trust Gus Gus around others and for this I can't thank Harry enough!

Came to Harry in 2012 with a 1 year old Staffy from Battersea Dogs Home, we had no history on Stella when we bought her but when we started walking her we could clearly see that she needed help to socialise with other dogs.
So we took her to Harry and she did his basic and intermediate classes which has completely solved the problem and enabled her to socialise with other dogs.
Six years on we both still attend
dog club classes on a Saturday morning, I would highly recommend Harry O'Neill's training methods
